Our analysis looked at 444 schools in the United States to see which programs were the most popular for students. To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Information Science program at each school on the list.

Our 2023 rankings named University of Maryland Global Campus the most popular school in the United States for information science students. Located in the large suburb of Adelphi, UMGC is a public college with a very large student population.

On average, IS graduates from UMGC take out $22,507 in student loans while working on their degree.

You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around you if you attend University of Maryland - College Park. The school came in at #2 on this year’s Most Popular Information Science Schools list. Located in the suburb of College Park, UMCP is a public school with a fairly large student population.

On average, IS graduates from UMCP take out $19,500 in student loans while working on their degree. When it comes time to repay the loan, graduates who are on a 10-year repayment plan pay an average monthly payment of $246.
