Alternatively, you may choose a trade school that prepares you to enter the workforce with knowledge in a specific field.
To help you arm yourself with the information you need to make your decision, Course Advisor has developed this Most Popular General Education Schools ranking. This report analyzed 834 schools in the United States to see which ones were the most popular programs for students. To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the General Education program at each school on the list.

Top 25 Most Popular Schools in General Education
You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around you if you attend National University. The school came in at #2 on this year’s Most Popular General Education Schools list. Located in the large city of La Jolla, National University is a private not-for-profit school with a large student population.
The excellent programs at Grand Canyon University helped the school earn the #3 place on this year’s ranking of the best general education schools in the United States. Located in the large city of Phoenix, Grand Canyon University is a private for-profit school with a fairly large student population.
You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Northcentral University. It ranked #4 on our 2023 Most Popular General Education Schools list. Northcentral University is a fairly large private not-for-profit school located in the city of San Diego.
Out of the 834 schools in the United States that were part of this year’s ranking, Johns Hopkins University landed the # 5 spot on the list. Located in the large city of Baltimore, Johns Hopkins is a private not-for-profit college with a very large student population.
