This report analyzed 159 schools in the Southwest Region to see which ones were the most popular programs for students. To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Mathematics program at each school on the list.

Our 2023 rankings named The University of Texas at Austin the most popular school in the Southwest Region for mathematics students. Located in the large city of Austin, UT Austin is a public college with a very large student population.

On average, math graduates from UT Austin take out $20,508 in student loans while working on their degree. For students who choose a 10-year repayment plan, the average monthly student loan payment is $193.

The excellent programs at San Jacinto Community College helped the school earn the #2 place on this year’s ranking of the best mathematics schools in the Southwest Region . San Jacinto College is a very large public school located in the large suburb of Pasadena.
