This report analyzed 379 schools in the United States to see which ones were the most popular master's degree programs for students. To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the History program at each school on the list.

Top 25 Most Popular Schools for a Master's in History
Our 2023 rankings named Southern New Hampshire University the most popular school in the United States for history students working on their master’s degree. SNHU is a fairly large private not-for-profit school located in the suburb of Manchester.
Of the 218 students majoring in history at SNHU, 45% are male and 55% are female.
Out of the 379 schools in the United States that were part of this year’s ranking, American Public University System landed the # 2 spot on the list. American Military University is a fairly large private for-profit school located in the fringe town of Charles Town.
