Our analysis looked at 385 schools in the United States to see which bachelor's degree programs were the most popular for students. To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Electrical Engineering program at each school on the list.

Our 2023 rankings named University of California - Berkeley the most popular school in the United States for electrical engineering students working on their bachelor’s degree. Located in the midsize city of Berkeley, UC Berkeley is a public school with a fairly large student population.

Of the 516 students majoring in EE at UC Berkeley, 80% are male and 20% are female.

While working on their Bachelor's Degree, EE majors at UC Berkeley accumulate an average of around $13,851 in student debt. This translates to an average monthly loan payment of $348, based on a 10-year repayment plan.

The in-demand bachelor’s degree programs at The University of Texas at Austin helped the school earn the #2 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular electrical engineering schools in the United States. Located in the city of Austin, UT Austin is a public college with a very large student population.

Of the 332 students majoring in EE at UT Austin, 83% are male and 17% are female.

EE majors at UT Austin take out an average of $19,535 in student loans while working on their Bachelor's Degree. Assuming that a graduate chooses a 10-year repayment plan, the average monthly loan payment is $266.

Out of the 385 schools in the United States that were part of this year’s ranking, Florida International University landed the # 3 spot on the list. FIU is a very large public school located in the large suburb of Miami.
