To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Computer Science program at each school on the list.

Our 2023 rankings named University of Maryland - College Park the most popular school in the Middle Atlantic Region for computer science students working on their bachelor’s degree. UMCP is a fairly large public school located in the suburb of College Park.

Women make up 22% of the compsci majors at the school.

After completing their Bachelor's Degree, compsci graduates from UMCP carry an average student debt load of $20,305. Assuming that a graduate chooses a 10-year repayment plan, the average monthly loan payment is $307.

Out of the 109 schools in the Middle Atlantic Region that were part of this year’s ranking, Cornell University landed the # 2 spot on the list. Located in the small city of Ithaca, Cornell is a private not-for-profit school with a fairly large student population.

About 38% of the students majoring in compsci at the school are women while 62% are male.

The average monthly payment of a loan this size is about $524, assuming that the borrower is on a 10-year repayment plan.
