University of Arizona is located in Tucson, Arizona and has a large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 1,010 doctor’s degrees to qualified students.
Around 54% of those degree recipients were women.
Online graduate courses are available at University of Arizona, but you will need to check with the school to see if they are available for your field of interest. In fact, around 37% of the graduate population registered for at least one online class in 2019-2020.
You’ll be in good company if you attend Arizona State University - Tempe. The school came in at #2 on this year’s Most Popular Doctor’s Degree Schools in Arizona list. Located in Tempe, Arizona, the large public school handed out 897 doctor’s degree awards in 2020-2021.

You’ll be in good company if you attend University of Phoenix - Arizona. The school came in at #5 on this year’s Most Popular Doctor’s Degree Schools in Arizona list. UOPX - Arizona is a large private for-profit school situated in Tempe, Arizona. It awarded 356 doctor’s degrees in 2020-2021.

Northern Arizona University did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for students to get a doctor’s degree. It came in at #6 on the list. This large public school is located in Flagstaff, Arizona, and it awarded 220 doctor’s degrees in 2020-2021.

American InterContinental University - Online ranked #8 on this year’s Most Popular Doctor’s Degree Schools in Arizona list. Located in Schaumburg, Arizona, the fairly large private for-profit school awarded 86 diplomas to qualifed doctor’s degree students in 2020-2021.
Of those students who received their degree, 52% were women.
AIU Online is one of the schools on our list that is primarily online. Each graduate student at the school took at least one class online.

Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine & Health Sciences ranked #9 on this year’s Most Popular Doctor’s Degree Schools in Arizona list. Tempe, Arizona is the setting for this very small institution of higher learning. The private not-for-profit school handed out doctor’s degrees to 65 students in 2020-2021.
Around 75% of those degree recipients were women.
Since the graduate programs at SCNM are online, the school is an excellent choice for graduate students who need more flexibility than what is offered at some other schools.
Aspen University landed the #10 spot in the 2023 rankings for the most popular doctor’s degree programs. Located in Denver, Arizona, the medium-sized private for-profit school handed out 52 doctor’s degree awards in 2020-2021.
Of those students who received their degree, 73% were women.
Since the graduate programs at Aspen University are primarily online school, so it is a great choice for returning adults and students who work full time.
Ottawa University - Phoenix landed the #11 spot in the 2023 rankings for the most popular doctor’s degree programs. Ottawa University - Phoenix is a very small private not-for-profit school located in Phoenix, Arizona that handed out 17 doctor’s degrees in 2020-2021.
Around 76% of those degree recipients were women.
Since the graduate programs at Ottawa University - Phoenix are primarily online school, so it is a great choice for returning adults and students who work full time.
Phoenix Seminary came in at #12 in this year’s edition of the Most Popular Doctor’s Degree Schools in Arizona ranking. Phoenix Seminary is a very small private not-for-profit school located in Scottsdale, Arizona that handed out 6 doctor’s degrees in 2020-2021.

Some students may be able to take online graduate classes at IBCS. Of all the graduate students enrolled at the school during the 2019-2020 academic year, around 96% took at least some of their classes online.
