About 66% of the students majoring in visual and performing arts at the school are women while 34% are male.

Out of the 112 schools in the Southwest Region that were part of this year’s ranking, Texas State University landed the # 3 spot on the list. Texas State is a very large public school located in the small city of San Marcos.
