To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Social Sciences program at each school on the list.

Our 2023 rankings named University of Massachusetts Amherst the most popular school in the New England Region for social sciences students working on their bachelor’s degree. Located in the suburb of Amherst, UMass Amherst is a public college with a very large student population.

Out of the 113 schools in the New England Region that were part of this year’s ranking, University of Connecticut landed the # 2 spot on the list. Located in the suburb of Storrs, UCONN is a public school with a fairly large student population.

About 41% of the students majoring in social sciences at the school are women while 59% are male.
