Our 2023 rankings named The University of Texas at Austin the most popular school in the Southwest Region for foreign languages and linguistics students. UT Austin is a very large public school located in the city of Austin.

While working on their degree, foreign languages and linguistics majors at UT Austin accumulate an average of around $18,685 in student debt. This translates to an average monthly loan payment of $301, based on a 10-year repayment plan.

Tucson, AZ

Out of the 125 schools in the Southwest Region that were part of this year’s ranking, University of Arizona landed the # 2 spot on the list. Located in the city of Tucson, University of Arizona is a public college with a very large student population.

After completing their degree, foreign languages and linguistics graduates from University of Arizona carry an average student debt load of $18,575. When it comes time to repay the loan, graduates who are on a 10-year repayment plan pay an average monthly payment of $199.
