To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the General Engineering program at each school on the list.

Our analysis found Arizona State University - Tempe to be the most popular school for general engineering students who want to pursue a bachelor’s degree in the United States. Located in the midsize city of Tempe, ASU - Tempe is a public school with a very large student population.

About 13% of the students majoring in engineering at the school are women while 87% are male.

Engineering majors at ASU - Tempe take out an average of $29,808 in student loans while working on their Bachelor's Degree. This translates to an average monthly loan payment of $438, based on a 10-year repayment plan.

Out of the 230 schools in the United States that were part of this year’s ranking, University of California - Davis landed the # 2 spot on the list. Located in the small suburb of Davis, UC Davis is a public college with a very large student population.

About 22% of the students majoring in engineering at the school are women while 78% are male.

On average, engineering graduates from UC Davis take out $15,163 in student loans while working on their Bachelor's Degree.
