In 2020-2021, 6,547 people earned a degree or certificate in real estate, making the major the #153 most popular in the United States.

This report analyzed 42 schools in the United States to see which ones were the most popular master's degree programs for students. To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Real Estate program at each school on the list.

Our analysis found New York University to be the most popular school for real estate students who want to pursue a master’s degree in the United States. NYU is a very large private not-for-profit school located in the large city of New York.

About 24% of the students majoring in real estate at the school are women while 76% are male.

Georgetown University

Washington, DC

The in-demand master’s degree programs at Georgetown University helped the school earn the #2 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular real estate schools in the United States. Located in the large city of Washington, Georgetown is a private not-for-profit college with a fairly large student population.

Of the 169 students majoring in real estate at Georgetown, 75% are male and 25% are female.

The in-demand master’s degree programs at Florida International University helped the school earn the #3 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular real estate schools in the United States. Located in the large suburb of Miami, FIU is a public school with a very large student population.

About 26% of the students majoring in real estate at the school are women while 74% are male.

Out of the 42 schools in the United States that were part of this year’s ranking, Texas A&M University - College Station landed the # 4 spot on the list. Located in the medium-sized city of College Station, Texas A&M College Station is a public school with a fairly large student population.

Of the 58 students majoring in real estate at Texas A&M College Station, 81% are male and 19% are female.
