To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Music program at each school on the list.

Our 2023 rankings named Southern Methodist University the most popular school in the Southwest Region for music students working on their graduate certificate. SMU is a fairly large private not-for-profit school located in the suburb of Dallas.

A rank of #2 on this year’s list means Texas Christian University is a great place for music students working on their graduate certificate. Located in the city of Fort Worth, TCU is a private not-for-profit school with a large student population.
