Our 2023 rankings named University of North Texas the most popular school in the Southwest Region for music students working on their doctor’s degree. Located in the medium-sized city of Denton, UNT is a public school with a fairly large student population.

About 45% of the students majoring in music at the school are women while 55% are male.

Out of the 10 schools in the Southwest Region that were part of this year’s ranking, Arizona State University - Tempe landed the # 2 spot on the list. ASU - Tempe is a very large public school located in the midsize city of Tempe.

Of the 39 students majoring in music at ASU - Tempe, 51% are male and 49% are female.
