To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Statistics program at each school on the list.

Our 2023 rankings named Southern Methodist University the most popular school in the Southwest Region for statistics students working on their bachelor’s degree. SMU is a fairly large private not-for-profit school located in the suburb of Dallas.

About 46% of the students majoring in stats at the school are women while 54% are male.

Houston, TX

Out of the 14 schools in the Southwest Region that were part of this year’s ranking, Rice University landed the # 2 spot on the list. Rice is a medium-sized private not-for-profit school located in the large city of Houston.

Women make up 26% of the stats majors at the school.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Texas A&M University - College Station. It ranked #2 on our 2023 Most Popular Statistics Bachelor’s Degree Schools in the Southwest Region list. Located in the medium-sized city of College Station, Texas A&M College Station is a public school with a fairly large student population.

Women make up 17% of the stats majors at the school.

The in-demand bachelor’s degree programs at University of Arizona helped the school earn the #4 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular statistics schools in the Southwest Region . Located in the city of Tucson, University of Arizona is a public college with a very large student population.

The University of Texas at San Antonio did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for statistics students to get a bachelor’s degree. It came in at #6 on the list. UTSA is a fairly large public school located in the large city of San Antonio.

Of the 14 students majoring in stats at UTSA, 50% are male and 50% are female.

University of New Mexico - Main Campus did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for statistics students to get a bachelor’s degree. It came in at #8 on the list. UNM is a fairly large public school located in the city of Albuquerque.
