This report analyzed 90 schools in the United States to see which ones were the most popular master's degree programs for students. To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Environmental Engineering program at each school on the list.

Johns Hopkins University

Baltimore, MD

Our analysis found Johns Hopkins University to be the most popular school for environmental engineering students who want to pursue a master’s degree in the United States. Johns Hopkins is a fairly large private not-for-profit school located in the large city of Baltimore.

Of the 54 students majoring in environmental engineering at Johns Hopkins, 41% are male and 59% are female.

Gainesville, FL

A rank of #2 on this year’s list means University of Florida is a great place for environmental engineering students working on their master’s degree. Located in the city of Gainesville, UF is a public school with a fairly large student population.

About 74% of the students majoring in environmental engineering at the school are women while 26% are male.

A rank of #3 on this year’s list means University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is a great place for environmental engineering students working on their master’s degree. Located in the city of Champaign, UIUC is a public school with a fairly large student population.

Of the 36 students majoring in environmental engineering at UIUC, 47% are male and 53% are female.

A rank of #4 on this year’s list means University of Michigan - Ann Arbor is a great place for environmental engineering students working on their master’s degree. Located in the midsize city of Ann Arbor, U-M is a public school with a fairly large student population.

About 52% of the students majoring in environmental engineering at the school are women while 48% are male.

Out of the 90 schools in the United States that were part of this year’s ranking, University of Southern California landed the # 5 spot on the list. USC is a very large private not-for-profit school located in the city of Los Angeles.

Women make up 55% of the environmental engineering majors at the school.

California State University - Fullerton did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for environmental engineering students to get a master’s degree. It came in at #6 on the list. Located in the large suburb of Fullerton, Cal State Fullerton is a public school with a very large student population.

Of the 28 students majoring in environmental engineering at Cal State Fullerton, 68% are male and 32% are female.

With a ranking of #7, University of New Haven did quite well on this year’s most popular schools for environmental engineering students working on their master’s degree.
