Our 2023 rankings named Northwestern University the most popular school in the Great Lakes Region for engineering technologies students working on their master’s degree. Northwestern is a fairly large private not-for-profit school located in the small city of Evanston.

Of the 118 students majoring in engineering tech at Northwestern, 63% are male and 37% are female.

West Lafayette, IN

Out of the 40 schools in the Great Lakes Region that were part of this year’s ranking, Purdue University - Main Campus landed the # 2 spot on the list. Purdue is a fairly large public school located in the small city of West Lafayette.

Women make up 17% of the engineering tech majors at the school.

The in-demand master’s degree programs at Eastern Illinois University helped the school earn the #3 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular engineering technologies schools in the Great Lakes Region . EIU is a moderately-sized public school located in the town of Charleston.
