Our 2023 rankings named Los Angeles Valley College the best school in the Far Western US Region for students working on their undergraduate certificate.
The average in-state tuition and fees for students at LAVC is $1,238. Out-of-state students pay an average of $9,012. By the time they get their undergraduate certificate, students from this school have racked up an average of $11,749 in student loans.
One thing to take note of is that LAVC does offer online classes in some areas. During the 2019-2020 year, about 50% of the undergraduates at the school took at least one online course.

University of Alaska Anchorage landed the #13 spot in the 2023 rankings for the best undergraduate certificate programs.
Students from Alaska who attend UAA full time pay an average of $8,750 in tuition and fees. Out-of-state students pay an average of $25,228. Undergraduate Certificate recipients from UAA accumulate an average of $10,416 in student debt by the time they complete their degree.
One thing to take note of is that UAA does offer online classes in some areas. Of all the undergraduates enrolled at the school during the 2019-2020 academic year, around 95% took at least some of their classes online.
East Los Angeles College landed the #14 spot in the 2023 rankings for the best undergraduate certificate programs.
Students from California who attend East Los Angeles College full time pay an average of $1,238 in tuition and fees. Those students who come from outside the state pay an average of $9,012. On average, undergraduate certificate students take out $13,276 in loans while pursuing their degree.

Yuba College landed the #17 spot in the 2023 rankings for the best undergraduate certificate programs.

Central Oregon Community College landed the #23 spot in the 2023 rankings for the best undergraduate certificate programs.

Undergraduate Certificate recipients from COCC accumulate an average of $21,588 in student debt by the time they complete their degree.

Olympic College ranked #24 on this year’s Best Undergraduate Certificate Schools in the Far Western US Region list.
The average in-state tuition and fees for students at OC is $4,101. If you are from out of state, expect to pay an average of $9,638. On average, undergraduate certificate students take out $15,949 in loans while pursuing their degree.
