To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Dance program at each school on the list.

Top 10 Most Popular Dance Schools
Our 2023 rankings named Texas State University the most popular school in Texas for dance students. Located in the city of San Marcos, Texas State is a public school with a very large student population.
Dance majors at Texas State take out an average of $22,417 in student loans while working on their egree. When it comes time to repay the loan, graduates who are on a 10-year repayment plan pay an average monthly payment of $184.
The excellent programs at Texas Woman’s University helped the school earn the #2 place on this year’s ranking of the best dance schools in Texas. Located in the medium-sized city of Denton, TWU is a public school with a fairly large student population.
While working on their degree, dance majors at TWU accumulate an average of around $21,500 in student debt.
You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around you if you attend Sam Houston State University. The school came in at #3 on this year’s Most Popular Dance Schools in Texas list. SHSU is a very large public school located in the distant town of Huntsville.
After completing their degree, dance graduates from SHSU carry an average student debt load of $26,000.
You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Texas Christian University. It ranked #4 on our 2023 Most Popular Dance Schools in Texas list. Located in the large city of Fort Worth, TCU is a private not-for-profit school with a fairly large student population.
Out of the 22 schools in Texas that were part of this year’s ranking, The University of Texas at Austin landed the # 5 spot on the list. UT Austin is a fairly large public school located in the city of Austin.
University of North Texas landed the #6 spot in the 2023 rankings for the most popular dance programs. Located in the medium-sized city of Denton, UNT is a public college with a very large student population.
After completing their degree, dance graduates from UNT carry an average student debt load of $24,250.
Southern Methodist University did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular schools for dance students. It came in at #7 on the list. SMU is a large private not-for-profit school located in the suburb of Dallas.
Stephen F Austin State University landed the #7 spot in the 2023 rankings for the most popular dance programs. SFASU is a fairly large public school located in the remote town of Nacogdoches.
