Our 2023 rankings named Stony Brook University the most popular school in the United States for applied mathematics students working on their doctor’s degree. Located in the suburb of Stony Brook, SUNY Stony Brook is a public college with a very large student population.

Of the 22 students majoring in applied math at SUNY Stony Brook, 73% are male and 27% are female.
