To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Health Professions program at each school on the list.

Our 2023 rankings named Western Governors University the most popular school in the Rocky Mountains Region for health professions students working on their master’s degree. WGU is a very large private not-for-profit school located in the large suburb of Salt Lake City.

Out of the 43 schools in the Rocky Mountains Region that were part of this year’s ranking, University of Colorado Denver/Anschutz Medical Campus landed the # 2 spot on the list. CU Anschutz is a very large public school located in the city of Denver.

Idaho State University did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for health professions students to get a master’s degree. It came in at #7 on the list. ISU is a large public school located in the small city of Pocatello.

Utah State University landed the #8 spot in the 2023 rankings for the most popular master’s degree health professions programs. Located in the small city of Logan, USU is a public school with a very large student population.

About 89% of the students majoring in health professions at the school are women while 11% are male.
