To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Health Professions program at each school on the list.

Our analysis found Rutgers University - New Brunswick to be the most popular school for health professions students who want to pursue a doctor’s degree in the Middle Atlantic Region . Rutgers New Brunswick is a fairly large public school located in the small city of New Brunswick.

Women make up 62% of the health professions majors at the school.

Out of the 130 schools in the Middle Atlantic Region that were part of this year’s ranking, University of Maryland - Baltimore landed the # 2 spot on the list. UMB is a moderately-sized public school located in the city of Baltimore.

Of the 630 students majoring in health professions at UMB, 34% are male and 66% are female.
