Our 2023 rankings named Northeastern University the most popular school in the New England Region for mechanical engineering students working on their bachelor’s degree. Located in the large city of Boston, Northeastern is a private not-for-profit school with a very large student population.

Of the 240 students majoring in ME at Northeastern, 77% are male and 23% are female.

The average monthly payment of a loan this size is about $460, assuming that the borrower is on a 10-year repayment plan.

Out of the 30 schools in the New England Region that were part of this year’s ranking, Worcester Polytechnic Institute landed the # 2 spot on the list. Located in the medium-sized city of Worcester, WPI is a private not-for-profit school with a medium-sized student population.
