To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Civil Engineering program at each school on the list.

Our 2023 rankings named Northeastern University the most popular school in the New England Region for civil engineering students working on their bachelor’s degree. Northeastern is a very large private not-for-profit school located in the large city of Boston.

Of the 107 students majoring in civil eng at Northeastern, 64% are male and 36% are female.

Out of the 22 schools in the New England Region that were part of this year’s ranking, University of Connecticut landed the # 2 spot on the list. Located in the large suburb of Storrs, UCONN is a public school with a very large student population.

About 24% of the students majoring in civil eng at the school are women while 76% are male.

This translates to an average monthly loan payment of $390, based on a 10-year repayment plan.

A rank of #3 on this year’s list means University of Massachusetts - Lowell is a great place for civil engineering students working on their bachelor’s degree. Located in the large suburb of Lowell, UMass Lowell is a public school with a fairly large student population.

University of Maine landed the #7 spot in the 2023 rankings for the most popular bachelor’s degree civil engineering programs. UMaine is a fairly large public school located in the suburb of Orono.
