Our 2023 rankings named Stephen F Austin State University the most popular school in the Southwest Region for engineering physics students working on their bachelor’s degree. Located in the remote town of Nacogdoches, SFASU is a public college with a large student population.

About 14% of the students majoring in engineering physics at the school are women while 86% are male.

The in-demand bachelor’s degree programs at New Mexico State University - Main Campus helped the school earn the #2 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular engineering physics schools in the Southwest Region . NMSU Main Campus is a large public school located in the suburb of Las Cruces.

Women make up 17% of the engineering physics majors at the school.

Out of the 15 schools in the Southwest Region that were part of this year’s ranking, University of Oklahoma Norman Campus landed the # 3 spot on the list. University of Oklahoma is a fairly large public school located in the midsize suburb of Norman.
