To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Electrical Engineering program at each school on the list.

Our analysis found University of Massachusetts - Lowell to be the most popular school for electrical engineering students who want to pursue a bachelor’s degree in the New England Region . Located in the suburb of Lowell, UMass Lowell is a public college with a large student population.

Of the 119 students majoring in EE at UMass Lowell, 92% are male and 8% are female.

The average amount in student loans that EE majors at UMass Lowell take out while working on their Bachelor's Degree is $27,817.

A rank of #2 on this year’s list means Worcester Polytechnic Institute is a great place for electrical engineering students working on their bachelor’s degree. WPI is a moderately-sized private not-for-profit school located in the city of Worcester.

Women make up 32% of the EE majors at the school.

The average amount in student loans that EE majors at WPI take out while working on their Bachelor's Degree is $23,761.

Out of the 34 schools in the New England Region that were part of this year’s ranking, University of Connecticut landed the # 3 spot on the list. Located in the large suburb of Storrs, UCONN is a public school with a fairly large student population.

About 7% of the students majoring in EE at the school are women while 93% are male.

After completing their Bachelor's Degree, EE graduates from UCONN carry an average student debt load of $24,590. When it comes time to repay the loan, graduates who are on a 10-year repayment plan pay an average monthly payment of $351.

Out of the 34 schools in the New England Region that were part of this year’s ranking, Northeastern University landed the # 4 spot on the list. Northeastern is a fairly large private not-for-profit school located in the city of Boston.

University of Rhode Island did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for electrical engineering students to get a bachelor’s degree. It came in at #7 on the list. Located in the large suburb of Kingston, URI is a public college with a large student population.

Of the 43 students majoring in EE at URI, 84% are male and 16% are female.
