Top 10 Best General Education Schools
Our 2023 rankings named Brown University the best school in the New England Region for general education students. Located in the city of Providence, Brown is a private not-for-profit school with a large student population.
Out of the 51 schools in the New England Region that were part of this year’s ranking, Harvard University landed the # 2 spot on the list. Harvard is a very large private not-for-profit school located in the medium-sized city of Cambridge.
You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around you if you attend NHTI-Concord’s Community College. The school came in at #3 on this year’s Best General Education Schools in the New England Region list. Located in the fringe town of Concord, NHTI is a public school with a small student population.
The excellent programs at Northeastern University Professional Advancement Network helped the school earn the #4 place on this year’s ranking of the best general education schools in the New England Region . Located in the large city of Boston, Northeastern University Professional Advancement Network is a private not-for-profit school with a fairly large student population.
Out of the 51 schools in the New England Region that were part of this year’s ranking, Tufts University landed the # 5 spot on the list. Located in the suburb of Medford, Tufts is a private not-for-profit college with a fairly large student population.
Fairfield University landed the #6 spot in the 2023 rankings for the best general education programs. Fairfield U is a moderately-sized private not-for-profit school located in the suburb of Fairfield.

With a ranking of #9, Endicott College did quite well on this year’s best schools for general education students. Endicott is a small private not-for-profit school located in the large suburb of Beverly.
Brandeis University ranked #10 on this year’s Best General Education Schools in the New England Region list. Brandeis is a moderately-sized private not-for-profit school located in the city of Waltham.
