To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Journalism program at each school on the list.

Our analysis found University of North Texas to be the most popular school for journalism students who want to pursue a degree in Texas. UNT is a fairly large public school located in the midsize city of Denton.

On average, journalism graduates from UNT take out $21,500 in student loans while working on their degree. Assuming that a graduate chooses a 10-year repayment plan, the average monthly loan payment is $262.

Out of the 24 schools in Texas that were part of this year’s ranking, The University of Texas at Austin landed the # 2 spot on the list. Located in the city of Austin, UT Austin is a public school with a fairly large student population.

On average, journalism graduates from UT Austin take out $21,000 in student loans while working on their degree. Assuming that a graduate chooses a 10-year repayment plan, the average monthly loan payment is $204.
