This report analyzed 160 schools in the United States to see which ones were the most popular online bachelor's degree programs for students. To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from schools with online programs.

Our 2023 rankings named Western Governors University the most popular online school in the United States for accounting students working on their bachelor’s degree. Located in the large suburb of Salt Lake City, WGU is a private not-for-profit college with a fairly large student population.

About 66% of the students majoring in accounting at the school are women while 34% are male.

Accounting majors at WGU take out an average of $24,868 in student loans while working on their Bachelor's Degree.
