Our ranking of value is based on the quality of a program as defined in our per sticker price dollar. Specifically, our score for quality is discounted by the published tuition and fees charged by the given college. This gives the cost per unit of quality for each college. The more quality your dollar buys, the better the value.
In our regional and nationwide rankings, out-of-state tution and fees are used in our calculations. For statewide rankings, we use average in-state tuition and fees.

Best Southwest Region Schools for Affordable Quality in Agricultural Public Services
Our 2023 rankings named Texas Tech University the best value school in the Southwest Region for agricultural public services students. Texas Tech is a fairly large public school located in the city of Lubbock.
Out-of-state tuition fees for undergraduate students at Texas Tech are $24,121 per year. After completing their degree, agricultural public services graduates from Texas Tech carry an average student debtload of $20,141.

The excellent programs at Oklahoma State University - Main Campus helped the school earn the #2 place on this year’s ranking of the best agricultural public services schools in the Southwest Region . OSU is a very large public school located in the distant town of Stillwater.
