Our 2023 rankings named University of Denver the most popular school in Colorado for students working on their master’s degree. DU is a private not-for-profit institution located in Denver, Colorado. The school has a fairly large population, and it awarded 2,390 master’s degrees in 2020-2021.
Around 66% of those degree recipients were women.
You may have the opportunity to take online graduate classes at DU. In fact, around 84% of the graduate population registered for at least one online class in 2019-2020.
The excellent master’s degree programs at University of Colorado Denver/Anschutz Medical Campus helped the school earn the #2 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular schools in Colorado. CU Anschutz is located in Denver, Colorado and has a large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 2,029 master’s degrees to qualified students.
Of those students who received their degree, 65% were women.
You may have the opportunity to take online graduate classes at CU Anschutz. In fact, around 75% of the graduate population registered for at least one online class in 2019-2020.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend University of Colorado Boulder. It ranked #3 on our 2023 Most Popular Master’s Degree Schools in Colorado list. Boulder, Colorado is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out master’s degrees to 1,745 students in 2020-2021.
Of those students who received their degree, 41% were women.
CU - Boulder does offer online graduate classes for certain degree levels. To give an idea of how popular online courses are at the school, 62% of graduates took at least one course online in 2019-2020.
You’ll be in good company if you attend Colorado State University - Fort Collins. The school came in at #4 on this year’s Most Popular Master’s Degree Schools in Colorado list. Located in Fort Collins, Colorado, the large public school handed out 1,650 master’s degree awards in 2020-2021.
Around 55% of those degree recipients were women.
One thing to take note of is that Colorado State does offer online graduate classes in some areas. In fact, around 67% of the graduate population registered for at least one online class in 2019-2020.
The excellent master’s degree programs at Colorado Technical University - Colorado Springs helped the school earn the #5 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular schools in Colorado. Located in Colorado Springs, Colorado, the large private for-profit school awarded 1,623 diplomas to qualifed master’s degree students in 2020-2021.
Around 66% of those degree recipients were women.
Colorado Technical University - Colorado Springs does offer online graduate classes for certain degree levels. During the 2019-2020 year, about 100% of the graduate students at the school took at least one online course.
With a ranking of #6, Colorado State University - Global Campus did quite well on this year’s most popular schools for students working on their master’s degree. Located in Greenwood Village, Colorado, the fairly large public school awarded 1,473 diplomas to qualifed master’s degree students in 2020-2021.

Regis University did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for students to get a master’s degree. It came in at #7 on the list. Colorado School of Mines ranked #10 on this year’s Most Popular Master’s Degree Schools in Colorado list. Located in Golden, Colorado, the medium-sized public school handed out 456 master’s degree awards in 2020-2021.

With a ranking of #18, Rocky Vista University did quite well on this year’s most popular schools for students working on their master’s degree. Rocky Vista University is located in Parker, Colorado and has a small student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 81 master’s degrees to qualified students.
Around 54% of those degree recipients were women.
Colorado Mesa University came in at #19 in this year’s edition of the Most Popular Master’s Degree Schools in Colorado ranking. Grand Junction, Colorado is the setting for this medium-sized institution of higher learning. The public school handed out master’s degrees to 57 students in 2020-2021.

Taft University System landed the #22 spot in the 2023 rankings for the most popular master’s degree programs. Located in Denver, Colorado, the very small private for-profit school handed out 29 master’s degree awards in 2020-2021.

Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for students to get a master’s degree. It came in at #23 on the list. Located in Denver, Colorado, the very small private for-profit school handed out 28 master’s degree awards in 2020-2021.

Since the graduate programs at CSTCM are primarily online school, so it is a great choice for returning adults and students who work full time.
Fort Lewis College did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for students to get a master’s degree. It came in at #24 on the list. This small public school is located in Durango, Colorado, and it awarded 15 master’s degrees in 2020-2021.

If you are interested in distance education, be sure to check with the school since FLC does offer online graduate classes for certain majors. Of all the graduate students enrolled at the school during the 2019-2020 academic year, around 39% took at least some of their classes online.
Southwest Acupuncture College - Boulder ranked #25 on this year’s Most Popular Master’s Degree Schools in Colorado list. Southwest Acupuncture College - Boulder is located in Boulder, Colorado and has a very small student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 11 master’s degrees to qualified students.
