Our 2023 rankings named Brown University the most popular school in Rhode Island for students working on their master’s degree. Brown is located in Providence, Rhode Island and has a fairly large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 752 master’s degrees to qualified students.

Depending on your major, you may be able to take online graduate classes at Brown. In 2019-2020 about 59% of the graduate students at the school chose to take one or more online courses.

Providence, Rhode Island is the setting for this small institution of higher learning. The private not-for-profit school handed out master’s degrees to 303 students in 2020-2021.

With a ranking of #9, Rhode Island School of Design did quite well on this year’s most popular schools for students working on their master’s degree. RISD is a private not-for-profit institution located in Providence, Rhode Island. The school has a small population, and it awarded 211 master’s degrees in 2020-2021.

Roger Williams University did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for students to get a master’s degree. It came in at #10 on the list. RWU is a private not-for-profit institution located in Bristol, Rhode Island. The school has a small population, and it awarded 162 master’s degrees in 2020-2021.

With a ranking of #11, New England Institute of Technology did quite well on this year’s most popular schools for students working on their master’s degree. This small private not-for-profit school is located in East Greenwich, Rhode Island, and it awarded 70 master’s degrees in 2020-2021.

New England Tech does offer online graduate classes for certain degree levels. Of all the graduate students enrolled at the school during the 2019-2020 academic year, around 52% took at least some of their classes online.

Roger Williams University School of Law is a private not-for-profit institution located in Bristol, Rhode Island. The school has a very small population, and it awarded 3 master’s degrees in 2020-2021.
One thing to take note of is that Roger Williams University School of Law does offer online graduate classes in some areas. Of all the graduate students enrolled at the school during the 2019-2020 academic year, around 98% took at least some of their classes online.
