Around 63% of those degree recipients were women.
You may have the opportunity to take online graduate classes at KU. In 2019-2020 about 69% of the graduate students at the school chose to take one or more online courses.
The excellent graduate certificate programs at Wichita State University helped the school earn the #2 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular schools in Kansas. WSU is a public institution located in Wichita, Kansas. The school has a fairly large population, and it awarded 200 graduate certificates in 2020-2021.
Around 53% of those degree recipients were women.
You may have the opportunity to take online graduate classes at WSU. In 2019-2020 about 37% of the graduate students at the school chose to take one or more online courses.
Out of the 13 schools in Kansas that were part of this year’s ranking, Kansas State University landed the # 3 spot on the list. K -State is a large public school situated in Manhattan, Kansas. It awarded 201 graduate certificates in 2020-2021.
Around 65% of those degree recipients were women.
If you are interested in distance education, be sure to check with the school since K -State does offer online graduate classes for certain majors. During the 2019-2020 year, about 52% of the graduate students at the school took at least one online course.
Out of the 13 schools in Kansas that were part of this year’s ranking, Washburn University landed the # 4 spot on the list. Washburn University is a medium-sized public school located in Topeka, Kansas that handed out 60 graduate certificates in 2020-2021.
Around 87% of those degree recipients were women.

Emporia State University did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for students to get a graduate certificate. It came in at #6 on the list. Emporia, Kansas is the setting for this medium-sized institution of higher learning. The public school handed out graduate certificates to 48 students in 2020-2021.
Of those students who received their degree, 79% were women.
Online graduate courses are available at ESU, but you will need to check with the school to see if they are available for your field of interest. In 2019-2020 about 94% of the graduate students at the school chose to take one or more online courses.
Fort Hays State University came in at #7 in this year’s edition of the Most Popular Graduate Certificate Schools in Kansas ranking. Located in Hays, Kansas, the fairly large public school handed out 37 graduate certificate awards in 2020-2021.
Of those students who received their degree, 78% were women.
One thing to take note of is that FHSU does offer online graduate classes in some areas. To give an idea of how popular online courses are at the school, 93% of graduates took at least one course online in 2019-2020.
With a ranking of #8, MidAmerica Nazarene University did quite well on this year’s most popular schools for students working on their graduate certificate. MNU is a private not-for-profit institution located in Olathe, Kansas. The school has a small population, and it awarded 24 graduate certificates in 2020-2021.
Around 92% of those degree recipients were women.
MNU does offer online graduate classes for certain degree levels. During the 2019-2020 year, about 48% of the graduate students at the school took at least one online course.
Grantham University came in at #9 in this year’s edition of the Most Popular Graduate Certificate Schools in Kansas ranking. Located in Lenexa, Kansas, the medium-sized private for-profit school handed out 17 graduate certificate awards in 2020-2021.
Of those students who received their degree, 41% were women.
Since the graduate programs at Grantham University are primarily online school, so it is a great choice for returning adults and students who work full time.
Southwestern College came in at #10 in this year’s edition of the Most Popular Graduate Certificate Schools in Kansas ranking. Southwestern College is a small private not-for-profit school located in Winfield, Kansas that handed out 13 graduate certificates in 2020-2021.
Of those students who received their degree, 23% were women.
SC does offer online graduate classes for certain degree levels. In 2019-2020 about 84% of the graduate students at the school chose to take one or more online courses.
Baker University did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for students to get a graduate certificate. It came in at #11 on the list. Located in Baldwin City, Kansas, the small private not-for-profit school handed out 1 graduate certificate awards in 2020-2021.
Around 100% of those degree recipients were women.
If you are interested in distance education, be sure to check with the school since Baker does offer online graduate classes for certain majors. To give an idea of how popular online courses are at the school, 89% of graduates took at least one course online in 2019-2020.
With a ranking of #12, Cleveland University - Kansas City did quite well on this year’s most popular schools for students working on their graduate certificate.
Cleveland does offer online graduate classes for certain degree levels. Of all the graduate students enrolled at the school during the 2019-2020 academic year, around 7% took at least some of their classes online.
Barclay College ranked #12 on this year’s Most Popular Graduate Certificate Schools in Kansas list.
If you are interested in distance education, Barclay College is an excellent choice, since graduate classes are offered online.
