Our 2023 rankings named Western New Mexico University the most popular school in New Mexico for students working on their graduate certificate. Located in Silver City, New Mexico, the small public school handed out 115 graduate certificate awards in 2020-2021.
Of those students who received their degree, 81% were women.
One thing to take note of is that Western New Mexico University does offer online graduate classes in some areas. In 2019-2020 about 95% of the graduate students at the school chose to take one or more online courses.
A rank of #2 on this year’s list means New Mexico State University - Main Campus is a great place for students working on their graduate certificate. NMSU Main Campus is a fairly large public school situated in Las Cruces, New Mexico. It awarded 69 graduate certificates in 2020-2021.

New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology ranked #7 on this year’s Most Popular Graduate Certificate Schools in New Mexico list. New Mexico Tech is a small public school situated in Socorro, New Mexico. It awarded 6 graduate certificates in 2020-2021.
