Our analysis looked at 16 schools in Utah to see which associate degree programs were the most popular for students. To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from each school on the list.

Our analysis found Utah Valley University to be the most popular school for students who want to pursue a associate degree in Utah. UVU is located in Orem, Utah and has a large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 5,538 associate degrees to qualified students.
Full-time students from Utah pay an average of $6,010 in tuition and fees if they choose to attend UVU. If you are from out of state, expect to pay an average of $17,092. On average, associate degree students take out $14,381 in loans while pursuing their degree. Of those students who received their degree, 50% were women.
Depending on your major, you may be able to take online classes at UVU. To give an idea of how popular online courses are at the school, 70% of undergraduates took at least one course online in 2019-2020.
Out of the 16 schools in Utah that were part of this year’s ranking, Salt Lake Community College landed the # 2 spot on the list. Salt Lake Community College is a large public school situated in Salt Lake City, Utah. It awarded 3,436 associate degrees in 2020-2021.
The average in-state tuition and fees for students at Salt Lake Community College is $4,086. Out-of-state students pay an average of $12,734. On average, associate degree students take out $13,550 in loans while pursuing their degree. Of those students who received their degree, 59% were women.
Online courses are available at Salt Lake Community College, but you will need to check with the school to see if they are available for your field of interest. Of all the undergraduates enrolled at the school during the 2019-2020 academic year, around 48% took at least some of their classes online.
You’ll be in good company if you attend Weber State University. The school came in at #3 on this year’s Most Popular Associate Degree Schools in Utah list. Weber State University is a large public school located in Ogden, Utah that handed out 3,079 associate degrees in 2020-2021.
Full-time students from Utah pay an average of $6,228 in tuition and fees if they choose to attend WSU. Those students who come from outside the state pay an average of $16,644. Associate Degree recipients from WSU accumulate an average of $20,128 in student debt by the time they complete their degree. Of those students who received their degree, 58% were women.

Out of the 16 schools in Utah that were part of this year’s ranking, Utah State University landed the # 4 spot on the list. Located in Logan, Utah, the large public school awarded 1,203 diplomas to qualifed associate degree students in 2020-2021.

Around 48% of those degree recipients were women.

AmeriTech College - Draper did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for students to get an associate degree. It came in at #9 on the list. AmeriTech College - Draper is a small private for-profit school situated in Draper, Utah. It awarded 421 associate degrees in 2020-2021.
If you want to attend AmeriTech College - Draper, expect to pay an average of $12,999 in tuition and fees. Of course, this could be reduced if you receive financial aid. Midwives College of Utah came in at #14 in this year’s edition of the Most Popular Associate Degree Schools in Utah ranking. Midwives College of Utah is a very small private not-for-profit school situated in Salt Lake City, Utah. It awarded 9 associate degrees in 2020-2021.
The average tuition and fees at Midwives College of Utah is $7,719. In-state students do not receive a discount, however you may be able to reduce your price if you receive financial aid. Of all the undergraduates enrolled at the school during the 2019-2020 academic year, around 99% took at least some of their classes online.
Broadview University - West Jordan landed the #15 spot in the 2023 rankings for the most popular associate degree programs. Located in West Jordan, Utah, the very small private for-profit school awarded 45 diplomas to qualifed associate degree students in 2020-2021.
If you want to attend Broadview University - West Jordan, expect to pay an average of $16,498 in tuition and fees. Of course, this could be reduced if you receive financial aid. On average, associate degree students take out $24,797 in loans while pursuing their degree. Of those students who received their degree, 96% were women.
