This report analyzed 12 schools in Nevada to see which ones were the most popular associate degree programs for students. To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from each school on the list.

Our 2023 rankings named College of Southern Nevada the most popular school in Nevada for students working on their associate degree. Located in Las Vegas, Nevada, the large public school awarded 3,360 diplomas to qualifed associate degree students in 2020-2021.
The average in-state tuition and fees for students at CSN is $3,848. Those students who come from outside the state pay an average of $11,534. By the time they get their associate degree, students from this school have racked up an average of $14,367 in student loans. Around 64% of those degree recipients were women.
Depending on your major, you may be able to take online classes at CSN. In 2019-2020 about 66% of the undergraduate students at the school chose to take one or more online courses.
Out of the 12 schools in Nevada that were part of this year’s ranking, Truckee Meadows Community College landed the # 2 spot on the list. This medium-sized public school is located in Reno, Nevada, and it awarded 1,505 associate degrees in 2020-2021.
In-state students pay an average of $2,934 in tuition and fees if they attend Truckee Meadows Community College full time. If you are from out of state, expect to pay an average of $10,620. On average, associate degree students take out $16,933 in loans while pursuing their degree. Of those students who received their degree, 62% were women.
One thing to take note of is that Truckee Meadows Community College does offer online classes in some areas. In fact, around 88% of the undergraduate population registered for at least one online class in 2019-2020.
You’ll be in good company if you attend Western Nevada College. The school came in at #3 on this year’s Most Popular Associate Degree Schools in Nevada list. This small public school is located in Carson City, Nevada, and it awarded 630 associate degrees in 2020-2021.
In-state students pay an average of $3,748 in tuition and fees if they attend WNC full time. If you are from out of state, expect to pay an average of $11,434. By the time they get their associate degree, students from this school have racked up an average of $16,788 in student loans. Of those students who received their degree, 63% were women.
You may have the opportunity to take online classes at WNC. Of all the undergraduates enrolled at the school during the 2019-2020 academic year, around 73% took at least some of their classes online.
You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Great Basin College. It ranked #4 on our 2023 Most Popular Associate Degree Schools in Nevada list. Great Basin College is located in Elko, Nevada and has a small student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 350 associate degrees to qualified students.
Full-time students from Nevada pay an average of $3,683 in tuition and fees if they choose to attend Great Basin College. Out-of-state students pay an average of $10,399. On average, associate degree students take out $17,357 in loans while pursuing their degree. Around 58% of those degree recipients were women.

Located in Reno, Nevada, the very small private for-profit school awarded 167 diplomas to qualifed associate degree students in 2020-2021.
On average, associate degree students take out $30,485 in loans while pursuing their degree. Of those students who received their degree, 80% were women.
You may have the opportunity to take online classes at Carrington College, Reno. In fact, around 72% of the undergraduate population registered for at least one online class in 2019-2020.
Pima Medical Institute - Las Vegas did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for students to get an associate degree. It came in at #6 on the list. PMI Las Vegas is a very small private for-profit school situated in Las Vegas, Nevada. It awarded 187 associate degrees in 2020-2021.
By the time they get their associate degree, students from this school have racked up an average of $29,007 in student loans. Around 65% of those degree recipients were women.
One thing to take note of is that PMI Las Vegas does offer online classes in some areas. During the 2019-2020 year, about 1% of the undergraduates at the school took at least one online course.
Career College of Northern Nevada landed the #7 spot in the 2023 rankings for the most popular associate degree programs. Located in Sparks, Nevada, the very small private for-profit school awarded 93 diplomas to qualifed associate degree students in 2020-2021.
By the time they get their associate degree, students from this school have racked up an average of $20,263 in student loans. Around 57% of those degree recipients were women.
Carrington College, Las Vegas did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for students to get an associate degree. It came in at #8 on the list. Las Vegas, Nevada is the setting for this very small institution of higher learning. The private for-profit school handed out associate degrees to 63 students in 2020-2021.
Associate Degree recipients from Carrington College, Las Vegas accumulate an average of $32,287 in student debt by the time they complete their degree. Of those students who received their degree, 51% were women.

Northwest Career College ranked #9 on this year’s Most Popular Associate Degree Schools in Nevada list. Northwest Career College is a small private for-profit school located in Las Vegas, Nevada that handed out 31 associate degrees in 2020-2021.
Associate Degree recipients from Northwest Career College accumulate an average of $20,716 in student debt by the time they complete their degree. Around 94% of those degree recipients were women.
Northwest Career College is primarily an online school, so it is a great choice for returning adults and students who work full time.
Las Vegas College came in at #10 in this year’s edition of the Most Popular Associate Degree Schools in Nevada ranking. Henderson, Nevada is the setting for this very small institution of higher learning. The private for-profit school handed out associate degrees to 14 students in 2020-2021.
On average, associate degree students take out $33,984 in loans while pursuing their degree. Around 86% of those degree recipients were women.

Around 100% of those degree recipients were women.
DeVry University - Nevada came in at #12 in this year’s edition of the Most Popular Associate Degree Schools in Nevada ranking. DeVry University - Nevada is a very small private for-profit school situated in Henderson, Nevada. It awarded 1 associate degrees in 2020-2021.
The average tuition and fees at DeVry University - Nevada is $15,032. In-state students do not receive a discount, however you may be able to reduce your price if you receive financial aid. Associate Degree recipients from DeVry University - Nevada accumulate an average of $33,248 in student debt by the time they complete their degree.
