Our analysis looked at 11 schools in Ohio to see which online doctor's degree programs were the most popular for students. To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from schools with online programs.

Our analysis found Franklin University to be the most popular school for students who want to pursue a doctor’s degree in Ohio. Franklin University is located in Columbus, Ohio and has a medium-sized student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 19 doctor’s degrees to qualified students.
Around 63% of those degree recipients were women.
Since the graduate programs at Franklin University are online, the school is an excellent choice for graduate students who need more flexibility than what is offered at some other schools.
Out of the 11 schools in Ohio that were part of this year’s ranking, Lourdes University landed the # 2 spot on the list. Located in Sylvania, Ohio, the small private not-for-profit school awarded 16 diplomas to qualifed doctor’s degree students in 2020-2021.
Around 81% of those degree recipients were women.
Around 61% of the graduate population registered for at least one online class in 2019-2020.
The excellent doctor’s degree programs at The University of Findlay helped the school earn the #3 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular schools in Ohio. Located in Findlay, Ohio, the small private not-for-profit school awarded 143 diplomas to qualifed doctor’s degree students in 2020-2021.
Of those students who received their degree, 62% were women.
During the 2019-2020 year, about 49% of the graduate students at the school took at least one online course.
You’ll be in good company if you attend Bowling Green State University - Main Campus. The school came in at #4 on this year’s Most Popular Online Doctor’s Degree Schools in Ohio list. BGSU is located in Bowling Green, Ohio and has a fairly large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 72 doctor’s degrees to qualified students.
Around 57% of those degree recipients were women.

Of those students who received their degree, 56% were women.
In 2019-2020 about 73% of the graduate students at the school chose to take one or more online courses.
Walsh University landed the #7 spot in the 2023 rankings for the most popular doctor’s degree programs. Walsh University is a small private not-for-profit school located in North Canton, Ohio that handed out 37 doctor’s degrees in 2020-2021.
Of those students who received their degree, 68% were women.
To give an idea of how popular online courses are at the school, 61% of graduates took at least one course online in 2019-2020.
With a ranking of #8, Ursuline College did quite well on this year’s most popular schools for students working on their doctor’s degree.

Tiffin University landed the #8 spot in the 2023 rankings for the most popular doctor’s degree programs.
Of all the graduate students enrolled at the school during the 2019-2020 academic year, around 95% took at least some of their classes online.
With a ranking of #8, Mount Carmel College of Nursing did quite well on this year’s most popular schools for students working on their doctor’s degree.
Around 70% of the graduate population registered for at least one online class in 2019-2020.
Antioch University - Midwest did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for students to get a doctor’s degree. It came in at #8 on the list. Antioch University - Midwest is a very small private not-for-profit school located in Yellow Springs, Ohio that handed out 26 doctor’s degrees in 2020-2021.
Of those students who received their degree, 81% were women.
