On top of that, there are a considerable number of trade schools and bootcamp that offer fast-track entry to many fields.
To assist you in seeing some of the education options that are available to you, Course Advisor has created its Best Bachelor's Degree Schools in Florida ranking. This report analyzed 61 schools in Florida to see which ones offered the best bachelor's degree programs for students. To come up with a school's ranking, we analyzed numerous factors related to post-graduation wages, the quality of education offered by the school, average accumulated student debt, and more.

Our 2023 rankings named University of Florida the best school in Florida for students working on their bachelor’s degree.
Full-time students from Florida pay an average of $6,381 in tuition and fees if they choose to attend UF. Those students who come from outside the state pay an average of $28,659. On average, bachelor’s degree students take out $18,875 in loans while pursuing their degree.
Some students may be able to take online classes at UF. In fact, around 99% of the undergraduate population registered for at least one online class in 2019-2020.
Out of the 61 schools in Florida that were part of this year’s ranking, University of Florida-Online landed the # 2 spot on the list.
Full-time students from Florida pay an average of $3,876 in tuition and fees if they choose to attend UF Online. Out-of-state students pay an average of $16,579. On average, bachelor’s degree students take out $19,514 in loans while pursuing their degree.
Since UF Online is primarily an online school, it is an excellent choice for undergraduate students who need more flexibility than what is offered at some other schools.
A rank of #3 on this year’s list means Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University - Daytona Beach is a great place for students working on their bachelor’s degree.
The average tuition and fees at Embry-Riddle Daytona Beach is $39,066. In-state students do not receive a discount, however you may be able to reduce your price if you receive financial aid. By the time they get their bachelor’s degree, students from this school have racked up an average of $24,801 in student loans.
Some students may be able to take online classes at Embry-Riddle Daytona Beach. In 2019-2020 about 49% of the undergraduate students at the school chose to take one or more online courses.

A rank of #4 on this year’s list means Rasmussen University - Florida is a great place for students working on their bachelor’s degree.
If you want to attend Rasmussen University - Florida, expect to pay an average of $13,635 in tuition and fees. Of course, this could be reduced if you receive financial aid. University of Miami ranked #7 on this year’s Best Bachelor’s Degree Schools in Florida list.
If you don’t receive financial aid, you can expect a bill for $54,760 to cover tuition and fees at U Miami. The school does not offer an in-state discount. By the time they get their bachelor’s degree, students from this school have racked up an average of $17,427 in student loans.
If you are interested in distance education, be sure to check with the school since U Miami does offer online classes for certain majors. During the 2019-2020 year, about 36% of the undergraduates at the school took at least one online course.
University of South Florida - Main Campus ranked #8 on this year’s Best Bachelor’s Degree Schools in Florida list.
Students from Florida who attend USF Tampa full time pay an average of $6,410 in tuition and fees. Those students who come from outside the state pay an average of $17,324. Bachelor’s Degree recipients from USF Tampa accumulate an average of $24,223 in student debt by the time they complete their degree.

Florida Institute of Technology - Online did quite well in this year’s ranking of the best places for students to get a bachelor’s degree. It came in at #9 on the list.
Bachelor’s Degree recipients from Florida Institute of Technology - Online accumulate an average of $38,548 in student debt by the time they complete their degree.
Since Florida Institute of Technology - Online is primarily an online school, it is an excellent choice for undergraduate students who need more flexibility than what is offered at some other schools.
Florida Polytechnic University landed the #10 spot in the 2023 rankings for the best bachelor’s degree programs.
The average in-state tuition and fees for students at Florida Poly is $4,940. Out-of-state students pay an average of $21,004. On average, bachelor’s degree students take out $13,716 in loans while pursuing their degree.
Online courses are available at Florida Poly, but you will need to check with the school to see if they are available for your field of interest. In fact, around 74% of the undergraduate population registered for at least one online class in 2019-2020.
With a ranking of #11, Southeastern University did quite well on this year’s best schools for students working on their bachelor’s degree.
If you want to attend SEU, expect to pay an average of $28,320 in tuition and fees. Of course, this could be reduced if you receive financial aid. Bachelor’s Degree recipients from SEU accumulate an average of $25,851 in student debt by the time they complete their degree.

Strayer University - Florida came in at #12 in this year’s edition of the Best Bachelor’s Degree Schools in Florida ranking.

Hodges University did quite well in this year’s ranking of the best places for students to get a bachelor’s degree. It came in at #16 on the list.
If you don’t receive financial aid, you can expect a bill for $14,780 to cover tuition and fees at International College. The school does not offer an in-state discount. Bachelor’s Degree recipients from International College accumulate an average of $33,239 in student debt by the time they complete their degree.
If you are interested in distance education, be sure to check with the school since International College does offer online classes for certain majors. To give an idea of how popular online courses are at the school, 91% of undergraduates took at least one course online in 2019-2020.
Florida Southern College ranked #17 on this year’s Best Bachelor’s Degree Schools in Florida list.
Florida Southern does not offer a discount to in-state students, so the average tuition and fees for all undergraduates is $38,980. This amount may be reduced if you receive financial aid. Bachelor’s Degree recipients from Florida Southern accumulate an average of $22,777 in student debt by the time they complete their degree.
One thing to take note of is that Florida Southern does offer online classes in some areas. Of all the undergraduates enrolled at the school during the 2019-2020 academic year, around 39% took at least some of their classes online.
University of North Florida ranked #18 on this year’s Best Bachelor’s Degree Schools in Florida list.
In-state students pay an average of $5,964 in tuition and fees if they attend UNF full time. If you are from out of state, expect to pay an average of $19,407. On average, bachelor’s degree students take out $21,077 in loans while pursuing their degree.
Depending on your major, you may be able to take online classes at UNF. In 2019-2020 about 98% of the undergraduate students at the school chose to take one or more online courses.
DeVry University - Florida came in at #19 in this year’s edition of the Best Bachelor’s Degree Schools in Florida ranking.
DeVry University - Florida does not offer a discount to in-state students, so the average tuition and fees for all undergraduates is $15,032. This amount may be reduced if you receive financial aid. By the time they get their bachelor’s degree, students from this school have racked up an average of $44,693 in student loans.
DeVry University - Florida does have options available for those who want to take online classes. You will need to check with the school to see if they are available for your specific major. During the 2019-2020 year, about 100% of the undergraduates at the school took at least one online course.

Polk State College landed the #21 spot in the 2023 rankings for the best bachelor’s degree programs.
In-state students pay an average of $3,366 in tuition and fees if they attend Polk State full time. If you are from out of state, expect to pay an average of $12,271. Bachelor’s Degree recipients from Polk State accumulate an average of $21,461 in student debt by the time they complete their degree.
Some students may be able to take online classes at Polk State. Of all the undergraduates enrolled at the school during the 2019-2020 academic year, around 90% took at least some of their classes online.
The University of Tampa did quite well in this year’s ranking of the best places for students to get a bachelor’s degree. It came in at #22 on the list.
If you don’t receive financial aid, you can expect a bill for $31,274 to cover tuition and fees at UT. The school does not offer an in-state discount. By the time they get their bachelor’s degree, students from this school have racked up an average of $23,848 in student loans.
One thing to take note of is that UT does offer online classes in some areas. During the 2019-2020 year, about 65% of the undergraduates at the school took at least one online course.
With a ranking of #23, Flagler College - St Augustine did quite well on this year’s best schools for students working on their bachelor’s degree.
If you want to attend Flagler St. Augustine, expect to pay an average of $21,140 in tuition and fees. Of course, this could be reduced if you receive financial aid. Bachelor’s Degree recipients from Flagler St. Augustine accumulate an average of $23,966 in student debt by the time they complete their degree.
St Petersburg College came in at #24 in this year’s edition of the Best Bachelor’s Degree Schools in Florida ranking.
Full-time students from Florida pay an average of $2,682 in tuition and fees if they choose to attend SPC. If you are from out of state, expect to pay an average of $9,286. On average, bachelor’s degree students take out $29,737 in loans while pursuing their degree.
One thing to take note of is that SPC does offer online classes in some areas. Of all the undergraduates enrolled at the school during the 2019-2020 academic year, around 87% took at least some of their classes online.
Miami Dade College landed the #25 spot in the 2023 rankings for the best bachelor’s degree programs.
Students from Florida who attend MDC full time pay an average of $2,838 in tuition and fees. If you are from out of state, expect to pay an average of $9,661. Bachelor’s Degree recipients from MDC accumulate an average of $18,535 in student debt by the time they complete their degree.
MDC does have options available for those who want to take online classes. You will need to check with the school to see if they are available for your specific major. In 2019-2020 about 80% of the undergraduate students at the school chose to take one or more online courses.
