Our 2023 rankings named University of Iowa the most popular school in the Plains States Region for visual and performing arts students working on their master’s degree. Located in the city of Iowa City, Iowa is a public college with a very large student population.

Of the 79 students majoring in visual and performing arts at Iowa, 51% are male and 49% are female.

Out of the 35 schools in the Plains States Region that were part of this year’s ranking, University of Missouri - Kansas City landed the # 2 spot on the list. Located in the city of Kansas City, UMKC is a public college with a fairly large student population.

Of the 78 students majoring in visual and performing arts at UMKC, 51% are male and 49% are female.

Out of the 35 schools in the Plains States Region that were part of this year’s ranking, University of Minnesota - Twin Cities landed the # 3 spot on the list. Located in the city of Minneapolis, UMN Twin Cities is a public college with a fairly large student population.

Located in the large city of Minneapolis, MCAD is a private not-for-profit college with a fairly small student population.

About 72% of the students majoring in visual and performing arts at the school are women while 28% are male.
