To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Air Transportation program at each school on the list.

Our analysis found Western Michigan University to be the most popular school for air transportation students who want to pursue a degree in the Great Lakes Region . Located in the city of Kalamazoo, WMU is a public college with a large student population.

On average, air transport graduates from WMU take out $26,312 in student loans while working on their degree. The average monthly payment of a loan this size is about $590, assuming that the borrower is on a 10-year repayment plan.

A rank of #2 on this year’s list means Purdue University - Main Campus is a great place for air transportation students. Purdue is a very large public school located in the small city of West Lafayette.

After completing their degree, air transport graduates from Purdue carry an average student debt load of $21,500. Assuming that a graduate chooses a 10-year repayment plan, the average monthly loan payment is $468.
