To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Sociology program at each school on the list.

Our 2023 rankings named University of California - Los Angeles the most popular school in California for sociology students working on their bachelor’s degree. UCLA is a very large public school located in the city of Los Angeles.

Of the 737 students majoring in sociology at UCLA, 28% are male and 72% are female.

After completing their Bachelor's Degree, sociology graduates from UCLA carry an average student debt load of $16,082. Assuming that a graduate chooses a 10-year repayment plan, the average monthly loan payment is $223.

The in-demand bachelor’s degree programs at University of California - Santa Barbara helped the school earn the #2 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular sociology schools in California. UCSB is a very large public school located in the medium-sized suburb of Santa Barbara.
