About 42% of the students majoring in social sciences at the school are women while 58% are male.

Out of the 18 schools in the New England Region that were part of this year’s ranking, University of Massachusetts - Boston landed the # 2 spot on the list. Located in the large city of Boston, UMass Boston is a public college with a fairly large student population.
