Our analysis looked at 76 schools in the New England Region to see which bachelor's degree programs were the most popular for students. To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Economics program at each school on the list.

The following schools top our list of the Most Popular Economics Bachelor's Degree Colleges.

Our analysis found University of Connecticut to be the most popular school for economics students who want to pursue a bachelor’s degree in the New England Region . Located in the suburb of Storrs, UCONN is a public school with a very large student population.

About 31% of the students majoring in economics at the school are women while 69% are male.

On average, economics graduates from UCONN take out $22,634 in student loans while working on their Bachelor's Degree. Assuming that a graduate chooses a 10-year repayment plan, the average monthly loan payment is $504.

The in-demand bachelor’s degree programs at University of Massachusetts Amherst helped the school earn the #2 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular economics schools in the New England Region . Located in the suburb of Amherst, UMass Amherst is a public college with a fairly large student population.

Women make up 28% of the economics majors at the school.

While working on their Bachelor's Degree, economics majors at UMass Amherst accumulate an average of around $23,009 in student debt. The average monthly payment of a loan this size is about $306, assuming that the borrower is on a 10-year repayment plan.
