Best Massachusetts Schools for Affordable Quality for a Doctorate in Economics

Our 2023 rankings named University of Massachusetts Amherst the best value school in Massachusetts for economics students working on their doctor’s degree. UMass Amherst is a very large public school located in the suburb of Amherst.

UMass Amherst graduate students pay an average of $16,251 in in-state tuition and fees each year.
