To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Social Work program at each school on the list.

Our 2023 rankings named University of Southern California the most popular school in the United States for social work students working on their doctor’s degree. Located in the city of Los Angeles, USC is a private not-for-profit school with a fairly large student population.

Of the 193 students majoring in social work at USC, 27% are male and 73% are female.

Out of the 88 schools in the United States that were part of this year’s ranking, Capella University landed the # 2 spot on the list. Located in the city of Minneapolis, Capella University is a private for-profit school with a fairly large student population.
