Out of the 55 schools in the Southeast Region that were part of this year’s ranking, North Carolina State University landed the # 2 spot on the list. Located in the city of Raleigh, NC State is a public college with a very large student population.

Of the 20 students majoring in physics at NC State, 80% are male and 20% are female.
