Our analysis looked at 175 schools in the Far Western US Region to see which programs were the most popular for students. To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Philosophy program at each school on the list.

The following schools top our list of the Most Popular Philosophy Colleges.

Our 2023 rankings named University of California - Los Angeles the most popular school in the Far Western US Region for philosophy students. UCLA is a fairly large public school located in the city of Los Angeles.

On average, philosophy graduates from UCLA take out $15,000 in student loans while working on their degree. When it comes time to repay the loan, graduates who are on a 10-year repayment plan pay an average monthly payment of $232.

You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around you if you attend University of California - Santa Barbara. The school came in at #2 on this year’s Most Popular Philosophy Schools in the Far Western US Region list. UCSB is a fairly large public school located in the midsize suburb of Santa Barbara.
