Our 2023 rankings named The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley the most popular school in the Southwest Region for mathematics students working on their master’s degree. Located in the city of Edinburg, UT Rio Grande Valley is a public college with a very large student population.

Of the 20 students majoring in math at UT Rio Grande Valley, 55% are male and 45% are female.

The in-demand master’s degree programs at The University of Texas at El Paso helped the school earn the #2 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular mathematics schools in the Southwest Region . Located in the large city of El Paso, UTEP is a public school with a very large student population.

Of the 13 students majoring in math at UTEP, 69% are male and 31% are female.

Houston, TX

Out of the 36 schools in the Southwest Region that were part of this year’s ranking, University of Houston landed the # 4 spot on the list. UH is a fairly large public school located in the large city of Houston.

Women make up 33% of the math majors at the school.
