Our analysis looked at 17 schools in the New England Region to see which doctor's degree programs were the most popular for students. To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Mathematics program at each school on the list.

The colleges and universities below are the most popular for math majors pursuing a doctor's degree.

Our analysis found Massachusetts Institute of Technology to be the most popular school for mathematics students who want to pursue a doctor’s degree in the New England Region . MIT is a large private not-for-profit school located in the medium-sized city of Cambridge.

Of the 26 students majoring in math at MIT, 92% are male and 8% are female.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Harvard University. It ranked #2 on our 2023 Most Popular Mathematics Doctor’s Degree Schools in the New England Region list.
