Finding the Best Applied Statistics Master's Degree School for You

Our analysis looked at 18 schools in the United States to see which master's degree programs were the most popular for students. To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Applied Statistics program at each school on the list.

The colleges and universities below are the most popular for applied statistics majors pursuing a master's degree.

Our analysis found University of Michigan - Ann Arbor to be the most popular school for applied statistics students who want to pursue a master’s degree in the United States. Located in the midsize city of Ann Arbor, U-M is a public college with a fairly large student population.

About 58% of the students majoring in applied statistics at the school are women while 42% are male.

Lawrence, KS

The in-demand master’s degree programs at University of Kansas helped the school earn the #2 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular applied statistics schools in the United States. KU is a fairly large public school located in the small city of Lawrence.

About 42% of the students majoring in applied statistics at the school are women while 58% are male.

The in-demand master’s degree programs at Rochester Institute of Technology helped the school earn the #3 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular applied statistics schools in the United States. Located in the suburb of Rochester, RIT is a private not-for-profit college with a large student population.

Women make up 43% of the applied statistics majors at the school.

Villanova, PA

A rank of #4 on this year’s list means Villanova University is a great place for applied statistics students working on their master’s degree. Located in the suburb of Villanova, Villanova is a private not-for-profit school with a fairly large student population.

About 35% of the students majoring in applied statistics at the school are women while 65% are male.

DePaul University did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for applied statistics students to get a master’s degree. It came in at #7 on the list. Located in the large city of Chicago, DePaul is a private not-for-profit college with a fairly large student population.
